Andy’s Burgers and Bar are back!

I was recently invited to dine at the newly refurbished Andy’s Burgers & Bar, so I took along two of my burger and cocktail loving friends to check it out. Located in the SkyCity complex, Andy’s Burgers & Bar have a slick new fit out (love the geometric tiles!), an updated menu and a new QR code ordering system. And the best part? Robots!!! Friendly service robots (namely Bella & Buzz) who bring your order right to your table.
We really enjoyed our night at Andy’s Burgers & Bar and can guarantee everyone will love something on their menu, whether it be their EPIC burgers, famous wings, or loaded nachos with a side of Mac ‘n’ cheese. Although the restaurant is connected to the main gaming floor, and it does get noisy due to the live sport on the big screens, don’t be put off by this. This casual burger joint serves tasty burgers, excellent cocktails (or a Traffic Light Float for the young ones), plus the service is welcoming and friendly. Not to mention, Bella and Buzz were great servers. A very cool and unique experience for both the younger and older generation!

What we ordered:
COCKTAILS TO START:
Dreaming of Capri ($16) with Malfy Rosa, grapefruit juice, watermelon syrup, lime juice and grapefruit bitters. Our favourite cocktail of the night!

Mrs. Andy’s ($16) with Gin, elderflower, apple juice, orgeat syrup, butterfly peaflower, rhubarb bitters. Another stunner of a cocktail – would definitely order again.

Long Island Ice Tea ($20) with Vodka, gin, rum, tequila, Cointreau and lemon juice. My flatmate who drinks these regularly was very impressed with this concoction!

TO SHARE:
Andy’s Famous Wings (1/2kg $31) with honey, soy and sesame seed glaze. Finger lickin’ good!

Mac ‘n’ cheese ($9) and Bacon & Jalapeño dipping sauce with a side of corn chips ($15). Best accompaniments to our burgers!

THE BURGERS:
Tower Burger ($32) with Smashed aged beef, layered with cheddar cheese, Andy’s Nashville style fried chicken, bacon, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, red onions and Alderson’s pickles. The Tower Burger was EPIC!!!! Huge though, best shared between two people (or one very hungry foodie).

Classic Burger ($21) with Smashed aged beef, maple bacon, lettuce, tomato, American mustard, Alderson’s pickles, cheddar cheese and Andy’s burger sauce. A solid burger packed with tasty morsels inside… the maple bacon being the highlight!

No room for dessert, however, they have a Lemon Meringue Pie and Pecan Pie which I am eyeing up for next time!
Thank you Andy’s Burgers & Bar and SkyCity – we cannot wait to re-visit! Ad/gifted experience x
